Launch of EPAP in Dutch

Launch of EPAP in Dutch

Since we updated EPAP and launched the new module “Participating in healthcare conferences” on 1 June this year, we have also been working on translating the whole programme into Dutch to coincide with the ERS International Congress in Amsterdam on 26-30 September, 2015.

Our partners from PGO Support, an independent network for patient and disability organisations in the Netherlands, helped us not only with the fine-tuning of the translations, but also put in many more hours of hard work in adding information to make the programme relevant in the Netherlands. So, a big thank you to Karin Hoek and especially Annemiek van Rensen (pictured), who were so generous with their time.

The programme will go live and will be launched on 28 September at the ELF Patient “Meet-the-experts” evening. It will also be available on the PGO Support website in their e-learning course section shortly, making it accessible to over 200 Dutch patient organisations and their patients and carers.

This is our first time that we have been able to offer patients access to EPAP in a language other than English. However we are very keen to continue adding more and more languages, making it a truly accessible programme across Europe.
